Madinah holds places heavy with memory — Masjid Quba, the mountain of Uhud, the cemetery of al-Baqi’. Do not let these become mere sightseeing; let each one teach you something. Quba reminds you of beginnings built on God-consciousness — the Prophet ﷺ would visit it, and there is reward in praying there after purifying yourself; so ask Allah to build your new beginnings on taqwa, and not on fleeting excitement. Uhud is not just a mountain; it is a teacher. Stand at its foot and remember the beloved martyrs who fell there, remember that the religion is carried not by feeling alone but by steadfastness, and let the dust of that place make you humble. And al-Baqi’ — let it remind your heart of the end. So many of the family and Companions of the Prophet ﷺ lie there beneath the plain earth. Visit with the manners of the graveyard — peace, du’a, humility — and let it soften you with the truth you so often forget: that you, too, are travelling toward Allah, and that this road has an end.
